Pastor and Head Sheepdog: Pastor Chuck Foerster was called to Immanuel Lutheran of Grand Ledge in 2014. A 2006 graduate of Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Pastor Chuck has served churches in Mason, MI. and Midland MI. before coming to Grand Ledge. He and his wife Mary, and their daughter Kaydee feel blessed to be here and enjoy the wonderful community that is Grand Ledge. Pr. Chuck is currently on medical leave, and we remember him and his family in our prayers.
Transitional Pastor: Christina (Chrisy) Bright has been serving as Immanuel’s Transitional Pastor since September 2025, while Pr. Chuck is on medical leave. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and Trinity Lutheran Seminary and has served as pastor in Spruce, MI and as Assistant to the Bishop for the North/West Lower Michigan Synod before coming to Grand Ledge.
Music Coordinator: Carmen Karkau has been serving Immanuel for many years as well as working for Grand Ledge Public Schools in the music department. An accomplished musician, Carmen is married to Steve and they have two sons, Drew and Alex.
Youth Minister and Choir Director: Maggie Polley serves as both the Bell and Vocal Choir director as well as a youth minister with her spouse Chris. When not working multiple jobs at the church or for the State of Michigan, Maggie can be found doing lots of community activities and spending time with her children, extended family and friends.
Youth Minister: Chris Polley serves a one of Immanuel’s Youth Ministers alongside his spouse, Maggie. Chris also works at Grand Ledge Public Schools. Like his spouse Maggie, Chris enjoys various community activities and spending time with his children, extended family and friends.
Office Administrator: Trisha Lack serves as our Office Administrator and has been in that position for several years. Trisha lives in the Greater Lansing area with her husband Loy, and they are both enjoying being grandparents.
Custodian: Karen Ketola serves as the church custodian, and is a long time resident of Grand Ledge. She is also the volunteer coordinator for Hospice of Lansing.
